My review is on the book ‘The Guide to Rangers’ by David Murray of Glasgow Rangers. The book tells you all about the club since it was founded. It starts with managers and goes all the way through to players. The book is based on the trophies and the achievements of this amazing club. The book has quotes from famous players and letters of transfer news which is quite rare because the most clubs like to keep their transfer news confidential. It tells you about memorable nights in Europe and spectacular league triumphs. This book is a 5 star book and I suggest that it is for 1st years and up because it is quite deep with its descriptions as well as the pictures which are most of team photos, mangers and chairmen. This book made me feel proud to be a Rangers fan as it shows all the great things Rangers have done down through the years and of all the great players who have been at the club. It also tell you about the epic ‘Ibrox Disaster and shows the raw emotion that he put into the book. I would recommend you take this book out and read it because if you are a Rangers fan and want to know more this is the place to get it…

My review of The secret garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I didn’t understand what the character was going through because I’ve never known what it was like to have my mum and dad and all the other people I knew die all at once. She had to move away to her uncles, who was a hunchback. She got bored and went outside in the garden to talk to the gardeners. I could tell she felt bored. She liked her nurse’s family and wanted to meet all 12 of them. In the night she heard crying, the next morning she asked her nurse about it and her nurse said that she could not tell her anything like that or she could lose her job. So the next night she heard it she followed the sound, at first she thought it was her uncle, but when she walked into the room she found a young boy, called Colin. She had no idea who he was, so she asked him. He said he was her uncle’s son who was very sick and was the reason his mother died, as his father says and that’s why he is kept a secret. He asked Mary to come back and see him again. Mary didn’t return until 2 days later because a robin leaded her to a key, she found a lock on a door, which she believed was the garden door to the room of which her uncle’s wife used to go in when she was alive. She went inside the door all the trees and flowers were dead, so she started to do up the garden. When she went back to visit Colin he was angry, she had heard him scream and cry again at night because she hadn’t came to see him. So when she returned he just looked at her. Mary asked him if she could trust him with a secret. He said she could trust him, but Mary wasn’t sure. She had to tell someone though. So when her nurses son came to visit with some flowers for her to plant, Mary told him about the secret garden. He told her about how Mr Craven, her uncles wife had loved to plant stuff in it and that’s why it was locked up. At the end Mary tells Colin her secret, he said that he wanted to see it without anyone knowing, so he demands to go out it in the garden without anyone near where he was apart from the boy who gave Mary flowers to plant and Mary. So they went out. At the very end Colin begins to believe he can stand, so he learns to stand and soon he can walk again. Everyone finds out about the secret garden and Colin and his dad become much closer. I liked this book because it has a nice ending.

Five Go Off In A Caravan
In this book, there is a group of five and they call themselves the Famous Five. The book is one of many in Enid Blyton’s series of mystery and adventure. The characters are all very adventurous and bright. They like to go out into the country and be self dependant and eat hundreds of good food. Julian and Dick were the oldest. They look after the two older girls. George and Ann are the younger ones. On this holiday they borrow two caravans and go top stay in the country. The Famous Five catch up with the circus. Unfortunately the circus folk have much more sinister plans than clowning around…
The book made me feel very excited about what happens.

Marley , A Dog Like No Other By Johm Grogan
Most of the story takes place in Pennsylvania but before they moved there they used to live at another place. The book is mostly about a dog called Marley and it’s owner.
The characters all feel very upset when they find out that their dog is very ill. When they go to Disney Land Florida for their family outing they are half an hour from home and the vet phones and say’s that their dog is very ill. After that the dog keeps getting weaker and weaker then they decide to put Marley down.
The main characters include Marley, Jenny, Conner and the vet. Jenny is Marley’s owner and Conner is her little boy. The vet is a main character because when the family go on holiday they put Marley in the vet and the vet’s take care of him.
I chose to read this book because I like to read about animals and I thought it sounded good when I read the back of it. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Indigo blue by Cathy Cassidy
Indigo blue is a quite dramatic book, it has unexpected twists and really relates to some children’s life. The book has a quality the makes you wont to keep reading and you cant put it down till you’ve finished the chapter.
It’s about a girl called indie, who lives with her mum and little sister. Her mum has broken up with her boyfriend and moves to get away and hide from him. Indie looks after the old dirty house and her little sister while her mums working for some money. The ex comes back, and tries to make up with Indies mum and takes her out for a meal but a little while after the police come to her door and tell indie that her mums been involved in a accident. She goes to the hospital and her mums there, she finds out her mum had been beaten up by her ex.
I think this is an excellent book and its one of my favourites out of all of her books.

The Diamond Girls by Jacqueline Wilson
I really enjoyed this book because it was really life like.
The words the author used made it sound like something that could happen in real life.
The characters were made so that they came to life when you read about them and they each had their own hobbies and personalities.
I would recommend this book to most girls.

This book tells you all about the lifestyle of a professional athlete. The book tells you about your heart rate and tells you about the professional diet and their training exercises. This book also gives you a perfect explanation on how to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. This book tells you about the four main fitness groups, Stamina, Endurance, Speed, Intensity which are key to being a professional athlete. This book puts you through a rigorous training session every time because it has been used by many professional athletes.
GIRLS IN TEARS
by
JACQUELINE WILSON
I really enjoyed this book because it told the story of three girls who had been best friends for years and then when the Main character gets a boyfriend it destroys their friendship.
My favourite character in this book was Nadine because she was a normal teenager who had a boyfriend and she had three best friends.
When I was reading this book I felt that it was telling a story about many girls who are my age and are in the same situation as Nadine. Where a girl is torn between her friends and her boyfriend.
